Origin
The first
encounter
It happened in a highland bog in northern Scotland — a sundew, no larger than a coin, glistening with sticky red droplets under a grey sky. We watched a gnat land. We watched the leaf curl. Nothing in the plant world had ever felt so deliberate, so animal.
That moment became the seed of XENO. Not a shop. Not a garden center. A deliberate curation of plants that exist at the edge of what we expect from the botanical world.
Mission
What we
believe
Rarity is responsibility.
We source ethically and cultivate carefully. Many of the species we work with are threatened in the wild. Every plant in our collection is nursery-grown or legally acquired from specialist growers.
Understanding precedes ownership.
We don't sell plants to people who aren't ready for them. Every XENO customer receives guidance, not just a plant. These organisms require specific conditions, and we take that seriously.
Aesthetics and biology are inseparable.
The most beautiful specimens are those thriving in their correct conditions. We work at the intersection of interior design and ecological precision.
